Change of Heart

President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen has made public today that, after initially saying he would step down, he will NOT leave office under any circumstances until the end of his term in 2013.

Yemen has a very high percentage of gun owners and as further deterioration in the balance of power occurs, further opportunity for a Libya like revolution to successfully battle forces loyal to Saleh in the future remains a major threat to the iron-fisted leader.

Only time will tell.
