Nuclear Perspective
I live in Nevada, the US government has attacked no state more than mine with nuclear weapons. Over 900 nuclear tests on the silver state since fission was discovered. Though I know the disaster in the Fukishima plant has released large amounts of radiation, (I assume spent fuel rods being one of the largest pollutants) I simply do not fear the small amount of radiation that will slowly blanket the earth but I do not discount the localized damage to the beautiful land of the rising sun. Outside of Japan, I would hope the radiation would not be a large problem we as people cannot easily shake off, as we have every disaster in the history of man... and carry on with the knowledge that got us here.

Underground Nuclear Test in Nevada

This post reminded me of a paper I did in college in a pollution in history class. Man, I had forgotten there were so many tests in Nevada. I remember this one ocean test the US military did around Bikini Atoll I think it was. Lots of fishermen got sick..Lucky Dragon I think it was. I think they halted fishing over tons of miles. fishing industry lost a bunch of fish too.
ReplyDeleteI'm still holding some NBRI from about .06. Pretty good print yesterday. I think i will prob take it off here though. atleast most of it. Thanks for the heads up on that one in bfi
Indeed, I can only imagine what those old Nevada test sites would cost to "clean up." I heard a young lady talking about possible radiation problems coming over the ocean from Japan... with a blue tooth in her ear, I wanted to tell her, that you live in the biggest nuclear test site in the world, Nevada.
ReplyDeleteNo problem Mark, I took another half of my NBRI position off the table at 0.085 and am left with 25% of my original shares.
Found this miner LITHIUM EXPLORATION LEXG.OB It's already gone from .10 to over 1.00 and its still breaking out. lol
ReplyDeleteI'll look into it! I have been waiting to take a position in Ibc Alloys, just looking for what catalyst will propel it outside it's trading range (outside of QE3).
ReplyDeleteI see that process taking a long time at a huge cost to the standard of living of
ReplyDeletethe next couple generations. It stuns me that young voters who will take the brunt of
the disaster headed at them still don’t seem to get this and persist in voting for
pandering politicians. And it shames me that my generation just doesn’t care as long as
they get theirs.
