Bin Laden Dead, Middle East Turmoil Continues

It has been reported that Usama Bin Laden has been killed in Abbottabad, Pakistan, it happened around 1am local time. A team of approximately 40 US Navy Seals raided Bin Laden's small compound and after an intense shootout Bin Laden was left dead, shot in the head.

The whole raid took less than one hour. Though it had been rumored by many (such as Benazir Bhutto) Bin Laden was already dead, I guess now it is very official for the world on this the 2nd day of May, 2011.

The situation in Syria has degraded has the martial law imposed has gotten more violent as the total civilian death reported are over 500 in the recent uprising. The west is freezing the Syrian leadership's assets and are clearly showing some signs of support for regime change in Syria.

The fighting in Libya has been very strong and honestly the activity is simply too constant for most to successfully monitor. 800 inmates broke out of a jails in Gasfa and Kasserine, Tunisia last week, over 10,000 inmates have escaped since January.

Fighting in Libya has spilled over into Tunisia as some of Gaddafi's troops who crossed the border have been captured by Tunisian forces. Last week a bombing in a tourist cafe in Marrakech, Morocco, as thousands are still taking to the streets.
